Monday, 07.16.12: Real Life Superheroes

Incase you have been living under a rock for the past few months, this weekend was the 2012 Reebok Crossfit Games. Dogtowns very own Val Voboril, Ruth Anderson Horrell and Lindsey Valenzula all competed in what was a grueling 4 days of events. From an impromptu triathlon to hitting giants blocks with hammers, our ladies were prepared for the unexpected. In the end Val (who had a baby a little over a year ago) came in 5th in the world, Lindsey came in 9th and Ruth came in 17th. These ladies showed tremendous heart and at times bounced back from adversity to not only move up in the rankings but win their individual heats. Val, Lindsey and Ruth are amazing role models to not only us but to the community they represent. They went into every event with a positive attitude and huge smiles on their faces. We are all extremely proud of you guys and cannot wait till 2013!
